Explanations & Features

Format - Sign Up As An Individual
Doubles, not permanent partners. Weekly round-robin play consisting of one set partnered with each other player on your assigned court. 3 to 4 sets per match/court pairing.
Start Time Windows
Players indicate time preferences/availability weekly. Start times are scheduled within the indicated range. Players cannot specify an exact start time for "Early" or "Late" designations. For example: If the range indicates 5:00 to 6:30, then this means the player will be schedule to start sometime within that range.
Match Lengths
Matches start at a scheduled time and end at the start time of the next group on that court. 1.5 hours is the shortest allocation and 2 hours the longest. Players are committing to play for the entire scheduled time slot.
Weekly Opt "In or Out?" Process
Emails link to an "In or Out?" form that lets you indicate availability, time needs for the week. Players have until Noon the day before league night to reply. Text reminders are sent to all players who haven't responded the morning of the day before league play.
Formal Play & Scheduling
Court results, standings and "pairings" points are formally tracked and used to create weekly court pairings. Scheduling is formal with specific time slots & pairings rotations. Schedules are distributed via email and updated on our website. Players can cancel for emergencies and other reasons outlined in Procedures & Rules, but are otherwise expected to show up on time once they have opted "in" for the night.
Off Weeks
There are no off weeks for Spring/Summer 2025.
No Subs Needed
Our format does not require subs. Simply opt "out" when you know you will be unavailable for the week or contact us as soon as you know you can't make a scheduled time.
Guaranteed Play Option
Players selecting an "anytime" option for their start time will be guaranteed a spot for the week.
2x Play Option
Players can opt to play "2x" for the week. Though only one spot is guaranteed, historically about 80% of the extra sessions have been granted.
Two Seasons (Multiple Sessions)
There are two half-year platform tennis leagues: Summer and Winter. Each consists of numerous sessions and options. There is one unified winner of each half-year league for overall champion, top female and Ironman (woman).
Pairings System

Competitive compatibility emphasized. Variety considered. Most will play with 30+ different players throughout the season. One should expect to be the best on the court 25%, the worst 25% and in the middle 50%. Pairings explained.
