$145,000+ Raised for Local PT
In six formal years, the Platform Tennis League has raised over $145,000 in platform tennis specific revenue for participating clubs, while using just 2 to 4 hours per week of court time.
Glendale Lyceum was the first club to commit to hosting formal PT League play in 2013-14. The club has since hosted play for 5 fall/winter and 4 summer leagues. The Lyceum has received about 40% of the raised money to date and has reinvested most of it in their PT facilities. In 2015, the club significantly upgraded their heaters on all three courts. In 2016, they added the money to an APTA grant and completely rebuilt their center court. In 2017, they completely rebuilt their third court. Other participating clubs have used the money to offset operating expenses, make minor repairs and compensate employees. Click to see more ways the league benefits clubs. |
