The Cincinnati Fax News, referred to as the "Fax News," began publication in August 1994.
For twelve years, until 2006, the Fax News was published daily in the Cincinnati (OH) market. The Fax News was also published as "The Louisville Fax News" from 1998 to 2003 in the Louisville (KY) market and from 1999 to 2003 in the Dayton (OH) market as "The Dayton Fax News.". At it's peak, the Fax News was read daily by 250,000+ people at 45,000 locations in three markets. The publication consisted of 19 daily geography specific editions and included a weekly on-demand supplement "Fun & Entertainment." The format was light humor and odd news stories. Reader interaction was incentivized through contests and encouraged the submission of jokes, stories and opinions. Readers were rewarded with free lunches, event tickets, vacations and more.
