League Details

Format
Weekly round-robin play consisting of one or two games partnered with each other player on your assigned court.
Guaranteed Play
Players selecting the "anytime" option for their start time will be guaranteed a spot for the week.
Play 2x
Players can opt to play "2x" for the week. Though only one spot is guaranteed, historically about 80% of the extra sessions have been granted.
Pairings

Competitive compatibility emphasized. Variety considered. Most will play with 30+ different players throughout the season. One should expect to be the best on the court 25%, the worst 25% and in the middle 50%. Pairings explained.
Simple "In or Out?" Reply Each Week
Emails link to an "In or Out?" form that lets you indicate availability, time & geography needs for the week. Players have until Noon the day before league night to reply. Text reminders are sent to all players who haven't responded the morning of the day before league play.

Formal Play & Scheduling
Court results, standings and "pairings" points are formally tracked and used to create weekly court pairings. Scheduling is formal with specific time slots & pairings rotations. Schedules are distributed via email and updated on our website. Players can cancel for emergencies and other reasons outlined in Procedures & Rules, but are otherwise expected to show up on time once they have opted "in" for the night.
Two Seasons (Multiple Sessions)
There are two half-year Platform Tennis leagues: Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. Each consists of two sessions and various registration options. There is one unified winner of each half-year league for overall champion, top female and Ironman/woman.
No Subs
Our format does not require subs. Simply opt "out" when you know you will be unavailable for the week or contact us as soon as you know you can't make a scheduled time.
