PT Leaguer Tyler Fraser and partner Adam Morgan (IL) are still alive in the APTA National Championship. They face #2 seeds Sven Burus (NJ) and Mike Irdoja (NJ) in the semifinals. The other semifinal features defending champions and #1 seeds Johan du Randt (MA) and Stephen Mitchell (MA) against #3 seeds John Hughes (CT) and Marc Powers (CT).
Platform Tennis Leaguer Tyler Fraser and partner Adam Morgan (Chicago) through to the quarterfinals of this year's APTA Nationals in Long Island, NY. The #5 seeded Fraser and Morgan play #4 seeds Juan Arraya (CT) and Mark Parsons (CT) at 4:00 today. Cincinnati native Brian Compton (Chicago) has also reached the quarterfinals with partner Graham McNerney (Pittsburgh). They face defending champions and top seeds Johan du Randt (Boston) and Stephen Mitchell (Boston) at 5:30.
The American Platform Tennis Association (APTA) National Championships starts today. Both Cincinnati and the Platform Tennis League are well represented., Tyler Fraser, 2017-18 Fall/Winter PT League Champ, is seeded #5 with partner Adam Morgan (Chicago). The team is coming off a strong finish to the regular tournament season and are considered one of the top picks to win the event. Wil Lofgren, 2017 & 2018 Spring/Summer PT League champion, is partnering with former APTA finalist Jon Lubow (Morristown, NJ). This year's Fall/Winter PT League winner, Eric West, is playing with Tyler Owen (Louisville). Olivia Fraser is representing Cincinnati in the women's draw. She was the top female finisher in the 2018 Spring/Summer PT League. Another Cincinnati native, Brian Compton, is seeded sixth with partner Graham McNerney (Pittsburgh).
Mens Round of 32 Livestream starts at 3:30 Friday. With one week left to be played, Rob Hinkle leads the Ironman race with 95 sets played. 123 players are currently registered for Spring Platform Tennis and Pickleball Leagues. 92 of 132 spots are filled for pickleball and 31 of 55 for platform tennis. Registration deadlines are in early April. Platform tennis starts April 7. Pickleball starts April 11.

PT Leaguer Eric West and partner Josh Heller, seeded #2, won the 2022 Hertzel Cup City Open Championship. The final against top seeds Chris Angulo and Luke White was cut short by an injury to Angulo early in the first set.
Eric West went 4-0 on a court with Danny Carollo, Marie Matrka, Zach Mueck and George Peck. West improved to 18-2 for the season and remains in first place in the overall standings. West & partner Josh Heller are the #2 seeds for Saturday's Hertzel Cup City Open Platform Tennis Championships. Registration is open for 2022 Spring Platform Tennis League as well as our new 2022 Spring Pickleball League. The focus of each league is creating weekly pairings that are competitively compatible while still offering variety, schedule flexibility & substantial play.
