This year's Hertzel Cup City Open Championship date has been announced as March 5, 2022. This will be the 10th anniversary since renaming the event. Players of all levels are invited to join us for Session #2 of the 2021-22 Fall/Winter League. Play starts Thursday, January 6 and includes 11 weeks ending March 17.
Evan Webeler went 3-0 on a court with Doug Jones, Dave Necessary and Danny Carollo. Webeler improved to 25-5 for the season. His 3,003 points has him in first place overall in the league standings. New PlayersEllie Halbauer and Courtney Killian made Platform Tennis League debuts. Halbauer played professional tennis and was ranked as high as 260 in the world (WTA) in singles. Killian is a 4.5 tennis player making the conversion. Both are new to the sport of platform tennis. Rich Lamping improved to 8-2 for the season with a 7-0 record in weeks 5 & 6. Lamping won all 4 sets with AJ Fetwi, Doug Ucci, Tami Hochwalt and Max Comerford and then went 3-0 with Scott Powers, Randy Roeding and AJ Fetwi. Jonathan Daugherty went 6-0 and improved to 14-3 for the season. Daugherty has 1,268 standings points and is currently 26th overall for the Fall/Winter season.
