Luke White went 5-1 this week on a court with Tara Franke, Logan Coker and Rob Caress. White is now 11-1 for the season with a 3,254 standings points average.
The 9th Annual Columbus "Battle At The Mudhole" Platform Tennis Tournament is July 9th. It is a single day event with all teams guaranteed at least three matches.
Niall de Lacy went 3-1 in his Platform Tennis League debut. De Lacy earned 10 points for the result with Ron Borgatti, Josh Greene, Ben Woods and Todd Wise.
Pickleball Summer Session #1 start Monday, June 13. The 8-week session is part of the larger 24-week Spring/Summer league. Players can sign up for just Session #1 or the final 16 weeks at a discounted price.
When Platform Tennis League started, the players were exclusively pros, open tournament players and very advanced league players. The first two seasons consisted of 64 different players with 100% being male. Through the first nine weeks of our inaugural pickleball league, 188 different players have participated and/or registered to play. We are off to a far more diverse start with pickleball. Here is a breakdown of who is playing:
100 players are registered for our Summer Pickleball League. Play will again be at Glendale Lyceum, Cincinnati Country Club and LTC at Lunken. We have room for 172 players and the deadline to register is Friday. Play is on Monday nights, accommodates all playing levels, features compatible pairings, flexible start times and geography choices.
The courts at the Lindner Tennis Center at Lunken have been resurfaced and will be relined for pickleball on 6 of the 8 tennis courts (12 total courts). They will be ready for our Summer League & likely for the first week. Once completed, the lighted courts should be some of the best pickleball courts in Cincinnati.
Players have until Friday to register for Summer Session #1 (June 13 to August 8). Play will again be at Cincinnati Country Club, Glendale Lyceum and LTC at Lunken. We have room for 172 players with 100 spots already taken. Monday nights, all levels, compatible pairings, flexible start times, geography options.
Players have until June 10 to register for our Summer Pickleball Session 1. There is also a discounted option to sign up for both summer sessions (16 weeks). Play is again on Monday nights at Cincinnati Country Club, LTC at Lunken and Glendale Lyceum. All levels are invited to participate.
The first week of Summer Session #1 (Week #9 of Spring/Summer League) included 7 courts of play. Danny Carollo and Todd Wise each went 6-1 for the week and improved their positions in the standings.
