Our first Spring/Summer pickleball league is through week 18 of 24. There have been three rainouts and 15 completed weeks. 263 different players have participated with 1,885 official games completed. We've averaged using about 26 courts at Glendale Lyceum, Cincinnati Country Club and LTC at Lunken each week. Below are some breakdowns: Players By Session

Players By Playing LevelOur league uses a proprietary algorithm that factors in results to create optimal "pairings" numbers based on a 4,000 point scale. Our more general "SOS" or Strength of Schedule number could be considered a playing level - that uses ratings 1 to 10. A loose conversion to the broadly used self-rating system would be 1 & 2 = below 3.0, 3 & 4 = 3.0, 5 & 6 = 3.5, 7 & 8 = 4.0, 9 = 4.5, 10 = 5.0. Here is a breakdown by playing level:

Greg Carr moved into the top 5 overall, going 6-0 on a court with Mike McGrath, Vivek Chaturvedi and John Wehage. Carr is 39-18 (68.4%) with 2,168 standings points. More Play153 official games were played on 29 courts. Going undefeated on courts this week were: Carr, Ryan Dietrich, Chris Underwood, Rob Hammersmith, Karen Riley and Avery Maier.
Rob Caress went 5-1 on a court with Doug Jones, Marie Matrka and Mike Gramaglia. Caress moved into 9th place overall and now has a 45-28 season record. Play is on Monday nights at Glendale Lyceum, LTC at Lunken and Cincinnati Country Club. Leagues accommodate all levels of play, emphasize competitively compatible pairings and offer flexible start times, geography options, guaranteed and 2x play choices.

Our final Summer Platform Tennis session runs from Thursday, August 15 through September 29. Deadline is Tuesday, August 2. The Fall/Winter season starts October 6. All levels are invited to participate. Competitively compatible pairings emphasized while still offering variety, time flexibility, upward mobility, guaranteed play and 2x play options. Summer Session #2 counts as part of our 24-week Spring/Summer League. Participation in the Spring or Summer #1 is not a prerequisite. Our last summer session is a great way to improve a little and be sharp for the start of the Fall/Winter season. Xenon Low Bounce Balls, beer and court time at Glendale Lyceum are included with fee.
