The Patterson Club Open is the first Grand Prix event of the season. Grand Prix events are national ranking tournaments with elevated points (similar to tennis grand slams). Cincinnati's Midwesterns is also an APTA Grand Prix tourney. Bakker, who has been ranked as high as #4 nationally in the past couple of years (with Flip Goodspeed), is partnering with Chicago's Ben McKnight for the event.
