PT Leaguer Eric West partnered with Juan Arraya (Greenwich, CT) to win the Philly Open APTA Tour event at Manufacturers' Golf & Country Club near Philadelphia. The pair defeated several of the game's top teams and players including 4x APTA National Champ Drew Broderick and Tomas Christian in the quarterfinals, defending APTA National Champions Sven Burus & Mike Irdoja in the semifinals and current #4 ranked national team Chris Humpfreys and Felips Osses-Konig in the final. PT Leaguer Tyler Fraser partnered with Adam Morgan (Lake Bluff, IL) to win the Bourbon Ball at Louisville Country Club. The event is a national ranking tournament for the American Platform Tennis Association. Fraser/Morgan are currently ranked #5 nationally and #3 in the APTA Cup standings. PT Leaguer Wil Lofgren partnered with Dan Hansen (Mystic, CT) and made the semifinals.
PT Leaguer Marie Matrka partnered with Roopali Hall (Stamford, CT) to win this year's Bourbon Ball - Louisville's ranking event for the American Platform Tennis Association. They defeated PT Leaguers Jill Jackson and Ellie Halbauer in the finals.
Our third indoor Pickleball session started Sunday at ACES Pickleball + Kitchen. 63 players played over three time slots in what counts as part of Week #14 of our Indoor Pickleball league. Week #14 will also include results from Session #2 at Elite Athletic Sports Complex on Tuesday and Session #4 on Friday at Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy. Six Platform Tennis League champions excelled in American Platform Tennis Association (APTA) ranking events Saturday. Eric West at Philly OpenEric West is in the final of the Philly Open today with Livestreaming (APTA - Philly Open) set for Sunday at 9:30am. West is partnering this week with former APTA National Champion Juan Arraya (Greenwich, CT). The pair defeated defending national champions Sven Burus (Montclair, NJ) and Mike Irdoja (Verona, NJ) in the semifinals. They also defeated 4-time national champion Drew Broderick (Summit, NJ) and West's recurring partner Tomas Christian (Glenside, PA) in the quarterfinal. We will use Glendale Lyceum for the North and Cincinnati Country Club and LTC at Lunken for the South. We plan to add courts at ACES Pickleball + Kitchen to both leagues.

Players By Playing LevelOur league uses a proprietary algorithm that factors in results to create optimal "pairings" numbers based on a 4,000 point scale. Our more general "SOS" or Strength of Schedule number could be considered a playing level - that uses ratings 1 to 10. A loose conversion to the broadly used self-rating system would be 1 & 2 = below 3.0, 3 & 4 = 3.0, 5 & 6 = 3.5, 7 & 8 = 4.0, 9 = 4.5, 10 = 5.0. Here is a breakdown by playing level:
