Players By Playing LevelOur league uses a proprietary algorithm that factors in results to create optimal "pairings" numbers based on a 4,000 point scale. Our more general "SOS" or Strength of Schedule number could be considered a playing level - that uses ratings 1 to 10. A loose conversion to the broadly used self-rating system would be 1 & 2 = below 3.0, 3 & 4 = 3.0, 5 & 6 = 3.5, 7 & 8 = 4.0, 9 = 4.5, 10 = 5.0. Here is a breakdown by playing level:

414 different players played 6,616 official games in the 2023 Spring/Summer Pickleball League. Players averaged 63.9 games each with 241 playing at least 50 and 358 meeting the 24-game minimum needed to qualify for awards. Danny Carollo went 4-0 in the final week and edged out Eric West and Doug Jones to win this year's Spring/Summer Platform Tennis League. Halbauer Top FemaleEllie Halbauer finished the Spring/Summer League with a 13.00 average and a 1,611 pairings points number. This is Halbauer's second league title for platform tennis. Paddle season is here. It is time to register for the Fall/Winter League. Play will again be on Thursday nights and will accommodate all levels. The priority is producing competitively compatible pairings while still providing time flexibility, variety and mobility. This is our 12th Annual Fall/Winter League - History & Champions.
121 of 150 spots are filled for Indoor Pickleball Session #1.182 players are registered for indoor leagues with 275 spots for Session #2 starting in November. Indoor leagues are planned for 31 weeks on 50 courts at ACES Pickleball + Kitchen, Queen City Racquet Club and Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy (Velocity Pickleball). Details & Registration. In our first 16 months of pickleball play there have been 719 different players. 12 clubs/venues have participated with 8 hosting pickleball leagues. 110 of 150 spots are filled for Indoor Pickleball Session #1. Play is on Sundays with flexible start time windows between 4pm and 8pm. All of our leagues prioritize competitively compatible court pairings while offering variety, mobility, substantial play, quality facilities/clubs and flexible "early" and "late" start time windows. Queen City Racquet & Fitness Club has resurfaced and added lines for eight pickleball courts. 50 courts at Queen City, ACES Pickleball + Kitchen and Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy will be used for our Sunday indoor pickleball leagues this season. 50 courts at 3 venues will be used for our 31-week Indoor Pickleball League season. 600 spots/players will be accommodated. This should double play from last year's indoor season. Play starts Sunday, September 10.
Our 12th Annual Fall/Winter Platform Tennis League will again be held on Thursday nights at Glendale Lyceum. All levels are invited to participate.
