Flight One: Roman Joins Leaders With 4-0 Night

Jeff Roman, Head Racquet Pro at Cincinnati Sports Club, made his Platform Tennis League debut this week. Roman survived a 13-11 tiebreaker in his first set (with Bob Dorger) against Vince Prop and Matt Allare. He finished the night 4-0 on the court, which also included Scott Estes. Rob Bakker came back from an 0-5 deficit in his first set (with Joe Voss) against Rex Cabrera and Evan Webeler and survived a tiebreaker in another set. Flights 2 & 3: Lutz and Zimmerman First Female "Regulars"

Amy Lutz and Mary Zimmerman became the first female "regulars" to participate in the league. Participating on separate courts, each won two sets. The league has added a total of eight top female players this year. Last year, Lea Morris from Cleveland became the first to participate and Heather Prop played in the season ending A/B Tournament.
