The Summer Platform Tennis League concluded it's second week and a tight race for second place formed. Fabian Schmahl holds second place alone and leads the cluster with a 20.0 point average. John Fovel, Randy Underwood and Erik Simonson follow and each average 19.0. Wednesday: Five courts were played. Doug Jones was victorious on two plus Bill Boughton, Scott Vaaler and Jack Dowling each won one court. The closest contest of the night saw Jones edge Underwood 17 games to 16 for the first place points. Thursday: Four Courts were played. Adam Kwiecinski debuted with a court victory, playing with Lance Lagaly, Chris Bartlett and Doug Jones as a "fill in." Kwiecinski also finished third on an upper level court later in the 7:30 session to end his first night with a 14.0 average. Other court winners were John Fovel, Jim Ciesick and Jones. In addition to Kwiecinski, the league welcomed two more newcomers - Ralph Winterhalter and Reid Matlin. Click results to view complete court-by-court scores and point totals from week #2.
