Rob Bakker played two sessions and won all seven of his sets. The wins improved his season record to 10-0, moving him into the top spot in the standings. Richard Canelas made his Platform Tennis League debut and went 4-0. Bakker Selected for Xavier U. Athletic Hall of Fame Most of us know Rob as a top platform tennis player. Bakker is the Director of Racquet Sports at The Camargo Club and is currently ranked #5 nationally with partner Flip Goodspeed. But before paddle tennis, Rob was a two-sport standout at Xavier University. He played both soccer and tennis and was good enough to be selected All-Conference in both sports. For this and other accomplishments, the university has selected him for the Xavier University Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction will be on Friday, December 18. For more details click the previous link. Team #2 (Palmenter) Takes Lead Team #2 (Palmenter) defeated Team #6 (Gilligan) 18 to 17 to improve to 3-0 for the season. The win puts them slightly ahead of second place Team #7 (Shiels). Both teams are 3-0, but Team #2 is ahead on total points 52 to 48. Click for full week #3 team results.
